It’s Wally Time.

After a year of eager anticipation it is finally time to waddle again.  We are just a few days away from the 4th annual Wa Wa Wally Waddle 5k. We have over 120 runners preregistered for this years race including last years second place finisher Mike Chow and last years woman winner Marisa Strange.  For the first time since the Waddle started we will have an overall winner other than Mike Insler, as he is unable to attended due to his pending nuptials.

In addition to the 5k we also have 2 kids runs.  A FREE timed and scored 1 mile for kids 13 and younger (over 30 kids already signed up), and a free untimed unscored 100 yard dash for kids 9 and younger.  Both kids races take pace before the 5k, with the mile starting at 9:30 and the 100 yard dash going off at approximately 9:50.  All three races start and end on the Rugby field.

For details on getting to the race and race maps please see our course page.  We ask that you park in the new lot on top of the hill by Hooker Ave and walk down to the rugby field.  Vassar Security will be on hand to direct parking.  If you haven’t preregistred we encourage you to do so by 11:59 pm Friday night May 10th by visiting the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club Website .  There is no extra fee for using the online registration option and it will save our volunteers a lot of work if you preregister.  It will also save you $5 ($7 if you are a MHRRC member) off the cost of race day registration.

  1. I’m sorry Erin but the course is not really conducive to running with a stroller. It does a loop around a grass field at the start and the finish and the rest is on a dirt road. While It is not challenging to run on it it could be difficult to push a stroller while running on both the dirt road and the grass field.
